Librarian of Congress Address

This past February, important funding for Library of Congress’ digital preservation initiative NDIIPP was rescinded by Congress. On March 20, the Librarian of Congress, addressed the House Subcommittee on Legislative Branch. Dr. Billington discussed the need for continuing support for digital preservation projects including web archiving.

Congress will be deciding whether to restore funds to NDIIP in the next few weeks. Please contact your representatives in the House and Senate and urge them to vote for restoration of all funds to NDIIPP grantees.
